What are Labs?

Labs are private workspaces where you can store your notes/plaintext, ciphertext, images, and tool outputs. They autosave as you work.

What does Labs Pro unlock?

Unlimited Labs, unlimited image tabs, plus premium Lab features like PDF export, cloning, and history snapshots.

How does Lab History work?

On Pro, snapshots are created on saves. You can restore any snapshot from the History modal. Restoring overwrites your current lab content.

What’s included in PDF export?

Your lab title, notes/plaintext, ciphertext, and uploaded images. It’s designed to be printable and shareable.

What’s the difference between Tools and the Breaker?

Tools are focused transforms/analysis (like frequency, spacing, replace). The Breaker tries to automatically solve a cipher (or narrow it down) for supported cipher types.

How does the Substitution grid work?

It’s a live mapping: you enter ciphertext letters A–Z under each plaintext letter marker. The cipher box updates in real-time so you can see patterns quickly.

Does Pro affect Weekly Cipher or leaderboards?

No — Weekly Cipher scoring stays fair. Pro is about Labs capacity + QoL features.

How do notifications work?

The bell shows unread notifications. Opening the dropdown fetches them and marks them as read. Clicking a notification takes you to the linked page.

Are Labs private?

Yes — Labs are private to your account. Public content is only what you post in Posts / Weekly Cipher.

Do I need an account?

You can browse as a guest, but you need an account to create Labs, post, comment, or enter Weekly Cipher.

I found a bug — how do I report it?

Make a post describing what happened (screenshots help). Include the page and steps to reproduce.
